1. How do you define the Tijuana-San Diego region?

For me living in Tijuana is like if as a kid you had the rich kid from the block as a neighbor, he had the best toys, his house was so clean and well organized that you didn’t want to move anything out of its place. But, when he came by to your house to play thing were a bit different, you felt more relaxed to play.

I think this region has great opportunities for collaborations between the two cities, hopefully gets easier to do in the future.

2. How do you define your own work?

I try that my work have a relaxing feeling, each project I take I try to make it a fun one or at least to enjoy the process because I think that you can see that on the end result. If a project bores you it will be boring for the rest of the world.

3. How is the geographical context of the Tijuana-San Diego region reflected in your work?

I think I’m very influenced by the American pop culture, and in my projects I like to have nods or references to movies, tv shows or books, and most of them come from US.
